 | Products Formula |
Pound-X™ contains many ingredients that are said to be highly effective at assisting users in achieving their weight loss goals. These ingredients include: Green Tea, which is said to reduce cholesterol levels, and is known for its “antioxidant” properties; Magnesium, which is known for increasing metabolism; Calcium, which is said to strengthen bones and is found in milk and several dairy products; Biotin, which is said to boost energy, and is found in carrots and soy; and Fiber, which is known for maintaining weight.
While these ingredients may assist in weight loss, we have some concerns regarding possible side effects that may result from their use, which we will examine in the following section.
|
 | Formula In Depth |
Firstly, this product contains Caffeine, which many nutritionists and health experts urge consumers to avoid. Caffeine is known to cause dehydration, irritability, nervousness and sleep disorders for some users. Magnesium is also said to cause diarrhea. Pound-X™ also contains a combination of Folic Acid and Vitamin B12, which has been shown in scientific studies to cause cardiovascular risks for some users.
|
 | Cost |
The program costs about $20 when ordering from the retailer’s website, which is more than many dieting products we found, which ran from around $9.99 to $14.99 for 30-day supplies.
|
 | Customer Feedback |
At the time we wrote this review, there was virtually no consumer response to the advertised effectiveness of these capsules. Most of the products we found had at least one person who was willing to praise the benefits of the supplements they had been taking. We would feel significantly more confident in it if we could find at least one person who would do this for Pound-X™.

 | Similar Pills and Programs |
It is suggested, according to the manufacturer’s website, that the user take one caplet of the “morning” version with breakfast, one of the “afternoon” version with lunch and one of the “evening” version with dinner. The company also suggests that users take one to two of what they call the “Function” each time they take one of the other caplets.
We have two issues with this method of dosage. First, it seems complex in comparison to most of the other supplements we found. In order to be successful, the user is required to keep track of four different types of pills, which may become too taxing for some people. If maintaining this method becomes too time-consuming for some people, they may wish to try a product with a simpler dosing schedule. Products that are Hoodia-based typically outline requirements more clearly for dieters.
Our second issue is that the website suggests that the user take “one to two” of the “Function” softgels “up to three times daily with each meal.” We would feel more comfortable if the company offered an exact amount, as opposed to a range, in both instances. If some users take too few of the softgels, they may be ineffective. Conversely, if too many are taken, they may stand a greater risk of suffering from the possible side effects we mentioned here.
|
 | Conclusion |
Pound-X™ is marketed as being highly effective at helping dieters achieve their weight loss goals by burning fat and increasing metabolism. Some of its ingredients, such as Green Tea and Calcium, may do that for some users. However, we have some concerns.
Other than the potential side effects mentioned above, we are disconcerted by the lack of clarity on the company’s part when it comes to offering dosing instructions. We believe people should understand how to take a product if they are to obtain any benefits from it.
Overall, the product may work well for some users, but there are several companies that manufacture similar products that contain the well-respected Hoodia, cost less money, and do not carry the potential side effects we mentioned in our review. They also have a great deal of consumer support to back up their advertised benefits.
