Introduction & Overview |
For dieters who wish to keep track of their diet “the fun and easy way,” using NutriCounter might be the solution. This hand-held diet calorie calculator counter allows dieters to keep track of the amount of carbohydrates, sugar, proteins and fat that have been consumed and access the information at a glance.
According to the advertisement for NutriCounter, this product is becoming the industry standard at a quick pace since monitoring nutritional intake is an important part of losing and maintaining weight. We will take a close look at this product to see how effective it might be for aiding dieters on their weight loss programs.

Product At A Glance
Supposedly, those who use the NutriCounter can “eat real foods” because more than 2000 food items are stored in the calculator’s memory. There are nine separate nutritional categories, and the information can be stored in daily totals for up to 30 days.
The NutriCounter can be personalized to meet the individual needs of each dieter as well. It is advertised as being a good tool for those with high cholesterol levels or diabetes, and the device contains 400 open locations so dieters can store the nutritional information of their favorite foods.

Product In Depth
To use the device, it is advertised to “simply enter” the first few letters of a food item to pull up the nutritional information of each food. The device also allows dieters to access the nutritional information of entire meals, and some fast food restaurant items are even listed. All of the information can be saved so that dieters can go back and easily retrieve it at a different time.
There are several new features that have been recently added to the product. These allow dieters to set personal goals, obtain an “average” of their daily consumption per month, find out the “balance” left of what they are allowed to eat in a day, change portion sizes, get daily totals and save all of the information for each item.
The calculator is advertised as costing around $79.90 on one page of the website, and $99.90 at another page. We found this to be a bit confusing, but we finally figured out that, at the time of this review, the product is being offered for the lower price.

Customer Feedback
We were happy to see that the NutriCounter website posts a separate page for customer testimonials. We always like to see what people have had to say about a product or program, especially when it comes to a system like calorie counting, which is not always convenient for dieters.
On the top of the testimonials page, we read a statement claiming that the testimonials are from “ordinary folks” and the comments were not paid for or solicited. We appreciate this fact., and read on to find out that a number of people attribute their weight loss to the use of this calculator, which has helped many of them pay better attention to what they eat. However, the most recent one we came across is almost five years old. We would like to see if anyone has been affected lately, and would really like to see pictures.

Conclusion
Dieters might prefer this type of method for weight loss, because it can help them learn about the nutritional content of all foods that they consume, which can lead to better decisions when it comes to ordering meals in restaurants or preparing food at home. We appreciate all of the new features that have been added to make the device easier to use.
Still, we are not sure if everyone will find this method convenient since it requires keeping track of every bite that is eaten. And of course, exercise is still important for weight loss, an issue that this device does not address. Consumers might prefer to use a daily dietary supplement to speed up the fat burning process and reduce calorie intake; we suggest seeking products from companies that offer free trials for evaluation.
